Star Image Artist Management, the agency that handles Marlou Arizala a.k.a. Xander Ford, has released a statement that they will be placing the social media personality on an indefinite suspension after his former girlfriend accused him of rape and filed a formal complaint against him.
Aside from the indefinite suspension, the agency has warned that his contract will be terminated and he "will be fined Php 500,000.00 for breach of contract (Misbehavior and affecting company's reputation)." They also wish that this serves as a lesson for him.
This is not the first time that Marlou received a notice of suspension from the agency. Back in 2019, he faced his first indefinite suspension after the agency considered him unprofessional. The moniker "Xander Ford" was also taken back, and Marlou was prohibited from using his stage name during the suspension.
He recently made headlines for coming out as bisexual and introducing his current boyfriend, but the news was received poorly by netizens who accused him of using his coming out story as a way to avoid rape allegations and the formal complaint filed against him.
